Spiritual Healing

This is a personal story of my experience of ancestral healing. The awareness that our ancestors hold keys to our healing is something that was known by the indigenous people (and we are all indigenous). Through the process of colonialism (capitalism, patriarchy, religion) we have been separated from our ancient ways which included a connection to our ancestors. By separating families, children from mothers and fathers, by inflicting violence, manipulation and control, there was deep pain and trauma. By preventing and punishing, outlawing indigenous people from doing powerful ceremony, severed them from the connection to their ancestors. (This also happened in Europe). The trauma becomes intergenerational and lives on in our epigenetics and through modelling and conditioning of dysfunctional lifestyle, behaviours and vagal co-regulation. The socialization of living in a colonized culture that is highly individuated and disconnected, compounds and perpetuates the trauma of separation from Self, Spirit and the ancestral line.

What is the True Self?

According to ancient teachings, the True Self is not the mind, emotions or the body. It is the Divine spark of consciousness at the centre of your experience. When we learn to rest our awareness in the heart of our experience, we can be present + free from the attachments of our programs, stories, trauma + lies about who we are.

Can an everyday person (who isn’t a monk or saint.. or someone who doesn’t have a guru) find their True Self? I believe that if you are pure in your desire to know yourSelf, you will come to realize your True Self.

I believe that everyone knows Truth innately + unmistakably. Truth is a resonance. Truth is home. It is unmistakable energy that feels illuminated, expansive + free. It’s liberating + a homecoming into the heart of the experience of you.

Shadow + Light Work

Light + shadow work for healing trauma.

Shadow work is shining the Light of our awareness onto the Shadow aspects of our experience to reveal previously unseen or unacknowledged aspects of ourselves.

To be liberated from the suffering of fear, shame and separation, we must look at the origin our suffering. That, is Light + Shadow Work. When shine our Light onto the Shadow, it feels confronting to see ourselves living in separation from the Truth of who you are. When we shine our Light onto these Shadow aspects of us and we look with Love and Compassion, our shadow aspects will be emancipated in the Love and Light of our True Self.
